Wrong-Way Crash on 14 Freeway in Santa Clarita Leaves 2 People in Critical Condition

 
SANTA CLARITA, CA (March 7, 2023) – Two people were critically injured in a wrong-way accident on 14 Freeway in Santa Clarita Saturday morning on March 4.
 
The accident happened around 9:20 a.m. at the Escondido Canyon Road off-ramp. According to the California Highway Patrol, a white Toyota Tacoma pickup truck was traveling southbound in the northbound lanes when it crashed near the center divider. The initial crash triggered a chain-reaction involving multiple vehicles.
 
Two people suffered critical injuries and two others sustained minor injuries. Paramedics transported all patients to hospitals for treatment.
 
CHP officials are still investigating the accident to determine the factors involved and liability.
