12-Year-Old Pedestrian Struck, Hospitalized in Hit-and-Run Accident near Orange Avenue in Fresno

 
FRESNO, CA (October 30, 2023) — A 12-year-old pedestrian was hit and injured by a hit-and-run driver near Orange Avenue and Lowe Avenue.
 
According to Fresno Police, the pedestrian crash happened around 6:30 p.m. Thursday. Under unclear circumstances, a driver struck a 12-year-old girl crossing the street near the intersection. Subsequently, the driver left the area, but a witness followed the male driver before officers detained him.
 
Due to the crash, the child suffered minor injuries and was taken to a hospital for care.
