1 Person Hospitalized, Car and Motorcycle Collide on Highway 162 in Oroville

 
OROVILLE, CA (October 30, 2023) — One person suffered an injury after a car and a motorcycle crashed on Highway 162 at Heritage Road.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the motorcycle crash happened Thursday evening. Under unclear circumstances, a Ford Escape attempting to turn northbound onto Heritage Road crashed into a westbound motorcyclist on Highway 162.
 
Moments later, paramedics and police officers arrived at the scene to find both vehicles had crashed in a head-on fashion. The man on the motorcycle suffered several broken bones, including a broken femur. Although he was conscious at the scene, the victim was carried off to Enloe Medical Center in Chico.
