10-Year-Old Boy Hurt in Pedestrian Accident at First Street and Kottinger Drive [Pleasanton, CA]

PLEASANTON, CA (October 19, 2023) – A 10-year-old boy was hurt in a pedestrian accident at First Street and Kottinger Drive in Pleasanton Tuesday on October 10.
 
The accident happened around 3:10 p.m. just a few blocks away from Valley View Elementary School. According to the Pleasanton Police Department, the child was walking westbound in the crosswalk.
 
At the same time, the driver of a vehicle was making a right turn from westbound Kottinger Drive and onto northbound First Street and did not see the child. They struck the boy, causing him minor injuries.
 
Paramedics immediately responded to treat the victim.
 
Officials said the driver was determined to be at fault in the accident.
