Lanes Closed after Multi-Vehicle Accident on Highway 4 near Willow Pass Road in Concord

 
CONCORD, CA (November 29, 2021) – At least one person sustained injuries in a multi-vehicle accident on Highway 4, late Saturday evening.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened on November 27, at about 11:30 p.m. Due to unknown circumstances, multiple vehicles collided near the Willow Pass Road exit.
 
Emergency crews transported one person to a hospital for treatment of major injuries.
 
Meanwhile, responders temporarily closed the eastbound lanes of Highway 4 to make way for clearing operations. As per reports, all lanes were reopened the next day at 12:22 a.m.
 
CHP continues to investigate the cause of the accident. Officers will release additional information once it becomes available.
