Police Arrest Israel Douglas for DUI after Fresno Crash Seriously Injuring Amazon Driver

 
FRESNO, CA (November 29, 2021) – A man suffered serious injuries and police arrested Israel Douglas after a DUI crash in Fresno on Tuesday, November 23.
 
The crash happened around 6:00 p.m. at Cedar and Florence avenues. The location was near the Amazon distribution center in Roosevelt area. According to the Fresno Police Department, the Amazon contract driver was pulling out of the distribution center’s parking lot when Douglas’ car crashed into his.
 
When officers arrived, they found the 23-year-old Amazon driver pinned inside his car with major head injuries. They rushed him to a local hospital in critical condition.
 
Meanwhile, Douglas was unharmed. However, three of his passengers had minor injuries.
 
During the investigation, officers determined that Douglas was driving under the influence of alcohol. They arrested him and booked him into the Fresno County jail on charges of felony DUI causing great bodily injury and driving while unlicensed.
 
Further investigation is underway.
