OAKLAND, CA (May 31, 2022) — One person died in a pedestrian crash on the 580 Freeway near Seminary Avenue on Thursday.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal pedestrian crash happened around 10:42 p.m.
 
For unknown reasons, a driver traveling westbound on the 580 Freeway struck a person on the road.
 
Shortly after, CHP officers arrived at the scene and confirmed a fatality at 11:03 p.m.
