1 Person Dies in El Segundo Multi-Car Crash on 105 Freeway

 
EL SEGUNDO, CA (April 26, 2022) — One person died in a multi-car accident on the 105 Freeway near Nash Street on Sunday.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the three-vehicle accident happened on the eastbound side around 8:00 a.m. For unknown reasons, a driver in a white Chevy Malibu struck the rear of an unoccupied Caltrans truck parked in the center divider. Subsequently, a third vehicle became involved.
 
Due to the nature of the crash, the driver of the white sedan died at the scene. CHP officers issued a Sig Alert around 8:20 a.m. and closed the No. 1 and 2 lanes for the investigation.
 
At this time, the victim’s identity and the cause of the crash remain unclear. However, an ongoing investigation into this incident should confirm more details.
