1 Person Died in Car Crash on 280 Freeway in San Francisco

 
SAN FRANCISCO, CA (July 21, 2022) — One person died in a car accident on the 280 Freeway near Monterey Boulevard.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal car accident happened around 1:06 a.m. Tuesday. Under unclear circumstances, at least one car crashed on the southbound side of the 280 Freeway. Reports came in around 1:12 a.m and CHP officers learned that three cars were pulled over in the center divider.
 
Shortly after, authorities requested the coroner to the scene for one person who had died.
 
At this time, investigators have not released the circumstances that led to the crash or the victim’s name. However, we will update this report once we receive more information.
