Man Dies in Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Crash on Story Road in San Jose

 
SAN JOSE, CA (July 21, 2022) — A man died in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident on Story Road at Kollmar Drive Sunday night.
 
According to San Jose police, the fatal hit-and-run happened around 11:13 p.m. For unknown reasons, a driver in a dark-colored minivan heading eastbound on Story Road struck a man standing in the roadway. The man was not in a marked crosswalk, police confirmed.
 
As a result of the crash, the victim suffered major injuries and died at the scene. As for the driver, he or she left the area before officers could identify or locate the person’s whereabouts.
