Yang Xuezeng Dies in Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Crash on Thousand Oaks Boulevard near Clay Court

 
THOUSAND OAKS, CA (July 21, 2022) — Yang Xuezeng died in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident on Thousand Oaks Boulevard near Clay Court Thursday evening.
 
According to the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office, the fatal pedestrian accident happened around 8:40 p.m. Under unclear circumstances, a driver in a white sedan heading eastbound struck 77-year-old Yang Xuezeng. It appears Xuezeng tried to cross a marked crosswalk with several others when the accident happened.
 
Following the impact, the driver stopped momentarily but fled the scene, heading eastbound on Thousand Oaks Boulevard before hopping onto the 101 Freeway.
 
Shortly after, paramedics reached the scene and brought Xuezeng to a hospital where he died.
