NORTH HIGHLANDS, CA (January 27, 2023) — One person was injured in a rollover accident on 32nd Street and Elkhorn Boulevard.
 
According to the Sacramento Metropolitan fire district, the two-vehicle crash happened Thursday. For unknown reasons, two cars crashed and left one vehicle overturning and trapping one person in the wreckage.
 
Soon after, Metro Fire responded to the scene and extricated the trapped victim before shuttling the patient to a nearby hospital for care.
 
At this time, reports did not specify the leading cause of the crash, but an ongoing investigation should confirm whether alcohol, speed or distracted driving played a role.
