Man Dies after Struck by Hit-and-Run Sedan while Walking on 10th Street West in Lancaster

 
LANCASTER, CA (January 27, 2023) – A pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run crash near 10th Street West and Avenue J-4 in Lancaster Tuesday evening.
 
The fatal crash happened around 9:05 p.m. on January 24. According to the Lancaster Sheriff’s Station, a male adult was walking on the roadway, outside a marked crosswalk, when a silver sedan traveling southbound on 10th Street West struck him.
 
After striking the victim, the driver fled the scene without rendering aid.
 
The Los Angeles County Fire Department Paramedics pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene.
 
The pedestrian’s identity has not yet been released pending next of kin notification.
 
At this time, the hit-and-run suspect remains at large.
