VALLEJO, CA (January 24, 2024) — One person was injured after a car crashed into a jackknifed semi-truck on the 80 Freeway near the 780 Freeway.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the semi-truck crash happened around 8:08 p.m. Sunday. For possible weather-related reasons, a driver of a big rig lost control, causing the big rig to jackknife on the transition ramp. Subsequently, an oncoming Audi struck the trailer.
 
Soon after, paramedics and officers arrived and found the injured Audi driver at the scene. Paramedics tended to the victim who sustained unknown injuries.
