RIO LINDA, CA (September 27, 2021) — One person died in a two-car accident at Dominion Way and Elverta Road Sunday afternoon.
 
According to Metro Fire, the fatal crash happened around 2:15 p.m. Under unclear circumstances, two cars crashed and left three people with minor to major injuries.
 
Soon after, Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District arrived at the scene to extricate several people from their vehicles. Following the extrication, paramedics transported three people to a hospital, where one of them died by 3:40 p.m.
 
At this time, it’s unclear what led to the accident. However, if anyone has additional information on this fatal crash, please contact the California Highway Patrol.
