1 Dead in Hollywood Pedestrian Crash on Highway 101

 
HOLLYWOOD, CA (April 1, 2024) — One person died in a pedestrian accident on Highway 101 near Wilton Place.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly pedestrian accident happened around 12:39 a.m. Wednesday. For an unknown reason, a northbound driver struck the pedestrian near North Wilton Place. Subsequently, CHP officers and emergency personnel arrived to find the victim in the far-left lane of the highway.
 
Tragically, the victim passed away. Authorities did not release the person’s name, age or gender. Following the crash, CHP issued a SigAlert to close all northbound lanes to investigate.
 
At the time of the report, officials did not state the cause of the crash or mention the driver involved. However, if anyone has seen this crash, please call the CHP.
