1 Killed in Overturned Semi-Truck Crash on 57 Freeway in Anaheim

 
ANAHEIM, CA (October 16, 2023) — One person died in an overturned big rig accident on the 57 Freeway near the 91 Freeway.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal truck accident happened around 8:30 p.m. Thursday. For an unknown reason, a semi-truck driver lost control and overturned before landing on a Chevrolet truck.
 
Moments later, emergency personnel responded to the northbound lanes of the 57 Freeway to extricate three people from the truck. One of them suffered fatal injuries.
 
Traffic investigators did not reveal the ultimate cause of the accident or if the speed, impairment or distracted driving played a factor. However, if anyone has additional knowledge, please call the CHP.
