1 Killed in Drunk Driving Motorcycle Crash on Crows Landing Road in Modesto
MODESTO, CA (January 15, 2024) — One person died in a DUI motorcycle accident on Crows Landing Road near Ehrlich Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly motorcycle crash happened around 7:55 p.m. Saturday. For DUI-related reasons, a 47-year-old Patterson man operating a southbound 2005 Chevrolet Silverado failed to yield to a northbound 2020 Harley-Davidson Heritage. Subsequently, the Silverado, moving at 35 miles per hour, crashed into the 46-year-old Modesto man operating the Harley.
Upon impact, the motorcyclist was ejected off the bike and came to a stop underneath the truck. Tragically, he passed away at the scene.
Following an investigation, officers arrested the Silverado driver on suspicion of DUI. At the time of the report, officials did not release the fatal victim’s name. However, we will update this report once we gather more information.
