Pedestrian Fatally Hit by Semi-Truck Driver near Vermont Avenue in Los Angeles

 
LOS ANGELES, CA (March 5, 2024) — A pedestrian was hit and killed by a semi-truck near Vermont Avenue and Hollywood Boulevard on Saturday.
 
The Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner identified the victim as 60-year-old Terry Carter, who was homeless.
 
According to Los Angeles police officers, the accident happened around 2:20 p.m. For an unknown reason, a driver of a semi-truck struck Carter in the 1600 block of North Vermont Avenue.
 
Shortly after, paramedics and police responded to the scene to find Carter with fatal injuries.
 
Following the crash, Los Angeles police investigators interviewed the driver. However, authorities have yet to identify the leading cause.
