Fatal Car Crash at Mangate Avenue and Temple Avenue in City of Industry

 
CITY OF INDUSTRY, CA (September 6, 2022) – One person died and four were injured in a fiery car accident at Mangate Avenue and Temple Avenue late Sunday afternoon.
 
The accident happened around 5:46 p.m. on September 4, in the unincorporated Valinda area. According to the California Highway Patrol, two vehicles collided at the intersection and caught fire.
 
The Los Angeles County Fire Department crews responded as the fire broke out near someone’s home.
 
A Good Samaritan helped the driver and a passenger from one of the cars get out of the vehicle as the car went up in flames.
 
Sadly, one person died at the scene. The identity of the deceased was not immediately available.
 
Four other people were injured. One of them suffered critical injuries, two had minor injuries and one sustained moderate injuries.
 
The cause of the crash and factors involved remain under investigation.
