DUI Driver Involved in Car Crash on Friars Road in San Diego
SAN DIEGO, CA (September 6, 2022) – A police officer suffered injuries in a DUI car crash near the 9600 block of Friars Road on September 5.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened around 1:00 AM.
Based on reports, the officer with the San Diego Police Department was on the road at the time of the crash. Due to unknown circumstances, a vehicle rear-ended his patrol vehicle.
As a result, the officer suffered minor injuries in the incident. Immediately, paramedics transported the victim to a hospital to treatment.
Officers evaluated the driver who hit the officer’s vehicle at the scene. In the end, they arrested on the suspect on suspicion of driving under the influence.
