Multi-Vehicle Crash on 405 Freeway in Van Nuys Leaves 1 Person Dead

 
VAN NUYS, CA (September 29, 2023) – One person died and three other people were injured in a multi-vehicle accident on 405 Freeway in the Van Nuys area Thursday morning on September 28.
 
The fatal accident happened around 6:30 a.m. near Sherman Way. According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, several vehicles collided along the northbound freeway in unclear circumstances.
 
First responders pronounced one person dead at the scene. The identity of the deceased was not immediately available.
 
Three other people were injured in the crash, two of them were transported to a local hospital.
 
At this time, the cause of the crash and factors involved are still under investigation.
