Late Evening Hit-and-Run Crash Involving Big Rig on 215 Freeway in San Bernardino Leaves 1 Dead
SAN BERNARDINO, CA (May 6, 2023) – One person died and three other people were injured after a hit-and-run crash on 215 Freeway in San Bernardino late Wednesday evening.
The fatal crash happened around 11:50 p.m. on May 3, just before the University Parkway exit. According to the California Highway Patrol, officers responded to the scene and located an Amazon 16-wheeler truck and a vehicle with crash damage. It is unclear which vehicle had fled the scene.
One person suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. The identity of the victim was withheld pending notification of next of kin.
Three other people sustained unspecified injuries.
The cause of the crash and factors involved remain under investigation.
