Head-On Accident on Vasco Road in Contra Costa County Kills Leaves 1 Dead

 
CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA (November 29, 2021) – One person died and two others sustained injuries after a head-on accident on Vasco Road in east Contra Costa County near Byron Thursday morning.
 
The fatal accident happened around 6:00 a.m. on November 25 near Walnut Boulevard. A Toyota sedan and a truck collided head-on after one of them crossed the center line, the East Contra Costa Fire Protection District said.
 
As a result, the driver of the sedan suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. They were not yet identified.
 
Meanwhile, the driver and the passenger of the truck were taken to John Muir trauma center in Walnut Creek.
 
A third vehicle went off the road and became disabled after hitting a tire that came off of one of the vehicles involved. Fortunately, no one sustained injuries in that car.
 
At this time, the factors involved in the crash remain under investigation.
