Rancho Mirage Crash near Westin Mission Hills Road Leaves 1 Dead

 
RANCHO MIRAGE, CA (June 3, 2022) – One person died and two others were injured in a car accident near Westin Mission Hills resort in Rancho Mirage on Wednesday evening.
 
The accident happened around 8:14 p.m. on June 1. According to the California Highway Patrol, a vehicle was traveling in the area when it crashed for unknown reasons.
 
Cal Fire and the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department were called to the scene.
 
When authorities arrived, they confirmed one person had died in the accident.
 
Two others were hurt, one of them suffered serious injuries.
 
At this time, the identity of the deceased victim was not immediately available.
 
Crews closed Dinah Shore Drive in both directions from Los Alamos Road to Del Webb Way while they cleared the wreckage.
 
The cause of the crash remained under investigation.
