Two-Vehicle Accident on Ramona Expressway in Nuevo Kills 1 Driver and Sends Another to Hospital

 
NUEVO, CA (November 20, 2022) – One person was killed and another one was injured in a two-vehicle accident on Ramona Expressway in Nuevo late Friday afternoon.
 
The accident happened around 5:25 p.m. on November 18, just west of Lakeview Avenue. According to the California Highway Patrol, a Ford SUV and a Nissan sedan collided in the eastbound lanes for unknown reasons. The Nissan then spun into the center divider, trapping the driver
 
Riverside County Fire Department crews arrived soon after and extricated the driver of the Nissan. Paramedics attempted to render aid, however, that driver was pronounced dead at the scene shortly before 6:00 p.m.
 
The SUV driver sustained minor to moderate injuries and was taken to a hospital.
 
At this time, the exact cause of the crash and factors involved remain under investigation.
