Car Strikes Two Motorcyclists on Rosedale Highway in Bakersfield Killing One and Injuring the Other

 
BAKERSFIELD, CA (April 28, 2023) – One person died and another was injured after a motorcycle accident on Rosedale Highway in northwest Bakersfield Wednesday morning.
 
The fatal accident happened around 10:35 a.m. on April 26, at the intersection with Jet Way. According to the Bakersfield Police Department, two motorcyclists who drove side-by-side made a southbound turn onto Jet Way from Rosedale Highway when a car traveling eastbound on Rosedale Highway struck them.
 
One of the motorcyclists, a male adult, died at the scene. The other adult male motorcyclist was taken to a local hospital with major injuries.
 
The driver of the car remained on scene and cooperated with police.
 
The primary factors in the crash are still under investigation. Police asked anyone with further information to contact them at 327-7111.
