SACRAMENTO, CA (June 22, 2023) — One person suffered moderate injuries in an overturned car accident on Highway 99 near Elverta Road.
 
According to the Sacramento Fire Department, the two-vehicle crash happened on Highway 99 Tuesday. Around 7:52 a.m., a sedan and a red truck collided in the southbound lanes. The sedan overturned upon impact and caught on fire. Fortunately, its driver was able to escape the plane and walk out with moderate injuries.
 
As for the red truck driver, he or she did not report any injuries in the accident.
