REDDING, CA (March 20, 2024) — One person was injured in a hit-and-run motorcycle accident on Iron Mountain Road near Starvation Flat Road.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the hit-and-run accident happened around 7:00 p.m. Monday. For an unknown reason, a driver of a white pickup truck was heading southbound on Iron Mountain Road and crossed into the opposing lane. Subsequently, the truck crashed into a northbound motorcyclist. Rather than stopping, the driver left the scene.
 
Minutes later, paramedics arrived and took the victim on the motorcycle to a hospital with major foot injuries.
 
At this time, authorities do not have information on the driver involved. However, if anyone has details on the suspect, please call the CHP.
