SANTA MONICA, CA (January 5, 2023) — One person was injured after a bus crashed into a building at Lincoln Boulevard and Michigan Avenue.
 
According to Big Blue Bus spokesperson Robert McCall, a bus driver struck a nearby building at the intersection.
 
Fortunately, no passengers on board the bus required hospitalization, just a transfer to a secondary bus to their final destination. The bus driver, however, sustained unknown injuries and needed hospital care.
 
According to a witness, the bus driver tried to avoid a crash and ended up swerving into a nearby Firestone Tire business after hitting a tree and another car.
