GARDEN GROVE, CA (May 25, 2023) — One person was injured and arrested following a police chase near Garden Grove Boulevard and Beach Boulevard.
 
According to the Garden Grove Police Department, the police pursuit began around 7:43 p.m. Tuesday. It started when officers approached a man possibly under the influence of narcotics. The suspect, however, drove away leading authorities on a slow-speed police pursuit.
 
The suspect led officers through several cities and struck two patrol units during the chase.
 
Eventually, officers deployed a spike strip which left the car disabled. Subsequently, the suspect exited the vehicle and ran toward a residential yard where a police K9 intervened.
 
Minutes later, officers arrested the injured suspect on several charges.
