1 Hospitalized in 4-Car Accident on Highway 99 in Chico

 
CHICO, CA (September 13, 2023) — One person suffered minor injuries in a 4-car crash on Highway 99 near Garner Lane.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the multi-car crash happened around 4:57 p.m. Under unclear circumstances, roughly four vehicles collided on Highway 99. Soon after, CAL FIRE, EMS and Caltrans arrived at the scene and assisted one person with minor injuries.
 
Due to the collision, commuters braved traffic for a period of time.
 
Right now, officials do not suspect impairment to have played a factor in the crash. However, if anyone has additional information, please call the CHP.
