MONTEBELLO, CA (February 13, 2024) — A pedestrian died in an accident after being hit by a car on the 60 Freeway near Paramount Boulevard.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal pedestrian accident happened around 12:40 a.m. Monday. Under unclear circumstances, one person was hit by at least one car in the eastbound lanes. Shortly after, traffic investigators and paramedics responded to learn from witnesses that a white SUV overturned before the pedestrian accident occurred.
 
Due to the incident, officials issued a SigAlert for all eastbound lanes to investigate.
