1 Killed, Pickup and Big Rig Accident at Taft Highway in Bakersfield

 
BAKERSFIELD, CA (August 16, 2022) — One person died after a pickup and a semi-truck crashed at Taft Highway near Buena Vista Road on Monday.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly two-vehicle collision happened at approximately 7:20 a.m. Under unclear circumstances, a driver of a pickup truck and a semi-trailer crashed, sending the pickup into a power pole.
 
Soon after, police, paramedics and the Kern County coroner’s office responded to the scene. One person who remains unidentified suffered fatal injuries.
