Pedestrian Dies after Hit by Car in Sacramento

 
SACRAMENTO, CA (August 16, 2022) – A man was killed in a pedestrian accident at Jibboom Street and Railyards Boulevard on Friday evening.
 
The fatal accident happened around 9:57 p.m. on August 12. According to the Sacramento Police Department, the man was walking at the intersection when a car struck him. The impact caused him serious injuries.
 
Paramedics rushed the man to a hospital, where he later died.
 
The victim’s name, age and hometown were not immediately available.
 
Officers said they did not find any signs of impairment on the part of the driver, but an investigation into this fatality is ongoing.
