Man Killed in Motorcycle Crash on Coronado Avenue in San Diego

 
SAN DIEGO, CA (August 16, 2022) — A man died in a motorcycle accident on Coronado Avenue near 25th Street on Monday.
 
According to authorities, the fatal motorcycle accident occurred around 1:43 p.m. For unknown reasons, a 34-year-old man operating a motorcycle in the Palm City neighborhood struck the back of a flatbed truck.
 
Shortly after, emergency personnel responded to the scene and brought the victim who was in and out of consciousness to a hospital where he died.
 
Back at the scene, the 52-year-old flatbed truck driver stayed on site, unharmed, and cooperated with police. According to reports, the flatbed was stopped in the No. 2 lane before the eastbound motorcyclist crashed into it.
 
At this time, reports have not included why the flatbed truck stopped in the road. However, an ongoing investigation led by San Diego Police should confirm any unclear details.
