Legal Assistant – Intake

Summary

Our growing law firm is looking for a Legal Assistant, who is self-motivated, detailed-oriented, reliable, and able to work in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will manage multiple aspects of client relations for the law firm. Candidates must be empathetic, energetic, and willing to learn.

 

Legal Assistant Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for new client onboarding
  • Monitor all potential new client inquiries (email, internet, phone, and referrals)
  • Ensure that all client retainer documents are accurate and complete
  • Meet with clients to facilitate in-person sign ups
  • Organize files/scanned documents
  • Open claims and send letters of representation
  • Set up clients with medical treatment
  • Obtain medical records and bills
  • Assist with the property damage portion of the insurance claim
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Legal Assistant Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree is preferred
  • 1 – 2 years of experience as a legal assistant, or relevant experience
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Resourceful and motivated to solve issues as they arise
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member
