Summary
Our growing law firm is looking for a Legal Assistant, who is self-motivated, detailed-oriented, reliable, and able to work in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will manage multiple aspects of client relations for the law firm. Candidates must be empathetic, energetic, and willing to learn.
Legal Assistant Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for new client onboarding
- Monitor all potential new client inquiries (email, internet, phone, and referrals)
- Ensure that all client retainer documents are accurate and complete
- Meet with clients to facilitate in-person sign ups
- Organize files/scanned documents
- Open claims and send letters of representation
- Set up clients with medical treatment
- Obtain medical records and bills
- Assist with the property damage portion of the insurance claim
- Other duties as assigned
Legal Assistant Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree is preferred
- 1 – 2 years of experience as a legal assistant, or relevant experience
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Resourceful and motivated to solve issues as they arise
- Ability to work independently and as a team member
