Jane Barisione, James Barber, Roger Marcus Hospitalized in Deadly 2-Car Crash on Highway 101 near Ridgewood Scales

 
UKIAH, CA (March 24, 2023) — Jane Barisione was among three people injured in a fatal two-car accident on Highway 101 near Ridgewood Scales.
 
According to a California Highway Patrol news release, the deadly two-vehicle crash happened around 4:11 p.m. Wednesday. For possible weather-related reasons, Jane Barisione lost control of her 2003 Jeep. Her Jeep subsequently traveled from the southbound to the northbound lanes in the path of a silver 2011 Hyundai. The northbound Hyundai crashed into the southbound Jeep, causing injuries to 70-year-old Barisione, her 39-year-old passenger James Barber and a 74-year-old Hyundai passenger named Roger Marcus.
 
The Hyundai driver, a resident from Arcata, perished in the crash. CHP did not release her name pending notification of family members. All other parties were brought to Howard Memorial Hospital for treatment.
