Head-On Crash in Corcoran Leaves Two Drivers Dead

 
CORCORAN, CA (January 26, 2023) – Raul Nunez was among two men who died in a head-on crash in Corcoran Tuesday evening on January 24.
 
The fatal crash happened just before 7:00 p.m. on 10th Avenue, just north of Niles Avenue. According to the California Highway Patrol, a Ford Escape was heading north on 10th Avenue while a Toyota Corolla was going south.
 
For unknown reasons, the two cars collided head-on. The Toyota came to rest on the shoulder of the street, and the Ford overturned onto its side before bursting into flames. The fire engulfed the car.
 
Two people stopped and were able to pull the Ford driver out through a sun roof, but both he and the Toyota driver died at the scene.
 
Nunez was identified as one of the drivers.
 
The cause of the crash and factors involved remain under investigation.
