Motorcyclist Dies after Crash with Pickup Truck on Road 24 in Kingsburg

 
KINGSBURG, CA (August 29, 2022) – A 34-year-old man was killed in a motorcycle accident on Road 24 east of Kingsburg on Thursday afternoon, August 25.
 
The accident happened just after 3:30 p.m. near the intersection with Highway 201. According to the California Highway Patrol, a 70-year-old man was driving a pickup truck southbound on Road 24. At the same time, the motorcyclist was traveling westbound on Highway 201 at an unknown speed.
 
The pickup truck driver had a controlled stop at Road 24, while the motorcyclist riding down on the highway did not have a stop sign.
 
According to the CHP, the driver of the pickup truck said he looked both ways before entering the intersection to turn left. The motorcyclist hit the side of the pickup truck and was thrown off his bike.
 
As a result, the motorcyclist suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
 
CHP officials said alcohol was not a factor in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
