Wesley Wilson Fleeing From Officers Killed in Crash with Tree on Highway 99 near Willard Lane

 
RED BLUFF, CA (June 14, 2022) — Wesley Wilson fled from police and died in a crash with a tree on Highway 99 near Willard Lane on Sunday afternoon.
 
According to reports, the incident first began around 6:30 a.m. when deputies responded to St. Elizabeth’s Hospital for a report of domestic violence.
 
Police learned that Wilson’s girlfriend reportedly became unconscious when Wilson strangled her. Upon waking up, the victim then suffered cuts to her face when Wilson threw at object her. She then sought care at a hospital after she had begged Wilson to bring her there.
 
Responding Red Bluff police officers spoke to the victim and proceeded to locate Wilson, finding his 1998 Toyota Camry near the victim’s home in Red Bluff.
 
Upon trying to pull him over, officers found him trying to flee from them, heading eastbound on Antelope Boulevard before crashing into a tree on Highway 99.
 
Due to the impact, Wilson was ejected from the car and died later at St. Elizabeth Hospital.
