Hit-and-Run Multi-Car Crash on Highway 12 in Santa Rosa

 
SANTA ROSA, CA (June 7, 2022) — One person suffered minor injuries in a hit-and-run multi-car accident on Highway 12 near Stony Point Road on Thursday.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the multi-car collision occurred around 11:00 p.m. For unknown reasons, a Nissan Maxima driver sideswiped a Toyota Prius, sending it off the roadway and rolling onto its roof. Subsequently, the Nissan struck a nearby guardrail and came to a rest in the middle of the right lane.
 
Not long after, an oncoming Toyota Camry struck the Nissan before being hit by another Toyota Camry. Due to the debris from the crash, a driver in a GMC Acadia crashed into the littered scraps.
 
Paramedics reached the scene soon after and took one person with minor injuries to a hospital. Responding officers found no sign of the Nissan driver who left the scene.
 
At this time, authorities have not confirmed the suspect’s whereabouts or the ultimate cause of the crash. However, those with information on this accident should call the CHP.
