Driver Flees after Hitting the Two Pedestrians on Rosecrans Street in San Diego, One Suffers Life-Threatening Injuries

 
SAN DIEGO, CA (November 12, 2021) – Two pedestrians suffered injuries after a DUI hit-and-run crash on Rosecrans Street early Thursday morning.
 
The crash happened just before 4:40 a.m. on November 11, near Lytton Street and Liberty Station. According to the San Diego Police Department, a 21-year-old woman was driving a Kia Forte northbound on Rosecrans when she struck two male teens who were also walking north.
 
Investigators believe one of the teens was walking in the traffic lane when he was hit. He suffered life-threatening injuries. The second teen was walking either on the side of the road or on the sidewalk when he was struck by the car. He sustained minor injuries.
 
Meanwhile, the female driver fled the scene on foot after the crash. Police later located her and arrested her on suspicion of DUI and hit-and-run.
 
An investigation into this crash is ongoing.
