78-Year-Old Great-Grandfather Dies in Hit-And-Run at Fruitridge Avenue and 24th Street

 
SACRAMENTO, CA (November 12, 2021) – Rogelia Ruiz Fraga was killed in a hit-and-run crash in Sacramento Saturday morning.
 
The fatal crash happened on November 6, at the intersection of Fruitridge Avenue and 24th Street. According to the Sacramento Police Department, the 78-year-old great-grandfather was on his morning walk to the store when at least two vehicles struck him.
 
Surveillance video from a nearby business shows one truck stop on the street after hitting Fraga.
 
Police said a second driver also may have hit Fraga, leaving him with fatal injuries, and then drove off.
 
Fraga was pronounced dead at the scene.
 
At this time, police are still investigating the fatality and on the lookout for the hit-and-run suspect.
