Late Evening Pedestrian Accident on South Real Road in Southwest Bakersfield Turns Deadly

BAKERSFIELD, CA (November 8, 2021) – One person was killed in a pedestrian accident at South Real Road and Apache Avenue in southwest Bakersfield.
 
The fatal accident happened just before 10:00 p.m. Saturday, November 6. According to the California Highway Patrol, the pedestrian was walking at the intersection when a vehicle struck him.
 
As a result, the pedestrian suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. The victim’s identity was not immediately available.
 
It is unknown if the involved driver has stayed after the crash.
 
CHP officials are still investigating the circumstances of the accident.
