25-Year-Old Man Fatally Struck by Incapacitated Driver in Eastvale

 
EASTVALE, CA (September 22, 2021) – Miguel Diaz Mendoza died after struck by an incapacitated driver along an Eastvale street Monday night.
 
The fatal accident happened around 6:30 p.m. on September 20, in the 5200 block of Goodman Road, just south of Cantu-Galleano Ranch Road. According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, the 25-year-old victim from Eastvale was walking across a parking lot when the driver of a sedan, whose identity was not disclosed, experienced an unspecified medical emergency and allowed his car to veer off of Goodman Road.
 
The car then smashed through a metal fence around an Amazon warehouse and plowed into Mendoza.
 
Responding paramedics pronounced Mendoza dead at the scene.
 
Meanwhile, the driver and his passenger sustained minor injuries.
