Cyclist Dies in Modesto Hit-and-Run Crash near McHenry Avenue

 
MODESTO, CA (August 16, 2021) — A cyclist died in a hit-and-run accident near McHenry Avenue and Leveland Lane last Sunday.
 
According to the Modesto Police Department, the fatal crash happened around 9:00 p.m. Under unknown conditions, a driver in a truck slammed into the 55-year-old bicyclist. Instead of pulling over to help him, the driver of the truck left the scene.
 
Soon after, paramedics rushed to the scene and transported the victim to a hospital where he died. At this time, his identity has not been released.
