Hit-and-Run MTA Bus Accident on South Atlantic Avenue in East Compton

 
EAST COMPTON, CA (May 12, 2021) – At least two people were hurt following a hit-and-run accident on South Atlantic Avenue on May 9.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at East Myrrh Street around 8:55 AM.
 
Based on a report, an unidentified vehicle struck an MTA bus in the lanes. However, officials did not release the details that led to the crash. Subsequently, the driver of the vehicle left the scene after the incident.
 
As a result, two people from the MTA bus suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Then, the Los Angeles County Fire said paramedics rushed them to an area hospital for treatment.
 
Authorities had no description of the suspect’s vehicle. In addition, there was no other immediate information. As of now, an investigation into this accident on South Atlantic Avenue is ongoing.
