RANCHO CORDOVA, CA (February 8, 2021) — A fatal accident on Highway 50 at the Sunrise Boulevard on-ramp Thursday, January 21 resulted in one fatality.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly accident took place around 5:45 a.m.
 
As a result of the crash, which involved an SUV, one person perished at the scene. However, reports included no information as to what led to the crash, but an investigation into the cause continues.
 
Shortly after the accident had occurred, authorities closed one lane of the Highway 50 on-ramp until 8:00 a.m.
