Woman in Wheelchair Dies in San Jose Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Accident on Curtner Avenue

 
SAN JOSE, CA (April 5, 2021) — A woman in a wheelchair died in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident on Curtner Avenue at Monterey Road Thursday night.
 
According to police, the crash happened around 11:35 p.m. For unknown reasons, a driver struck and killed a woman who was purportedly in a wheelchair, crossing in a marked crosswalk.
 
Shortly after, paramedics responded and transported the victim to a hospital where she died. Meanwhile, police investigated the scene yet found no driver at the crash site. However, they are looking to witnesses for information on the suspect’s whereabouts.
